Fantastic $30 Map-Making Software Bundle Represents a Virtual Tabletop Game Master's Fantasy

After a brief run earlier this year, this cartography software collection is back with an encore that lasts until Dec. 2. Described as a "treasure trove of assets and apps" created by a specialized software company throughout their history, the entire collection is valued at over $1,300. And there are multiple package options available here.

Primary Feature

The standout feature is certainly a lifetime license for Campaign Cartographer 3+, an industry-standard cartography program that can be used to create everything from epic fantasy landscapes, detailed regional charts, urban layouts, and, perhaps most importantly, dungeon and tabletop battle maps.

An imaginative landscape chart created using Campaign Cartographer 3+.

Bundle Tiers

Entry Level

The most affordable option, at a minimum cost of $1, includes only four of the 39 total items: Symbol Set 1: Fantasy Overland, Monster Token Pack 1, Source Maps: Castles!, and Source Maps: Cities!. This package suits existing CC3+ users, but it does offer fresh fantasy design elements for overworld maps, over seven hundred fifty creature tokens compatible with online gaming platforms, over twenty-five top-down castle layouts with 470 associated map tokens, eight fully mapped cities, plus seventy-plus building interiors.

Intermediate Package

The eight-item bundle starting at fifteen dollars is where things get more interesting through inclusion of permanent CC3+ access, the first Annual volume, Ultimate Mapping Guidebook, and Symbol Set 6: Isometric Cities. Cartographer's Annual is the yearly bundle from the company's long-running monthly subscription service which includes a variety CC3+ add-ons including map packs and additional utilities. Isometric Cities lets you present urban areas in 3D perspective using angled views from all sides. And the Tome of Ultimate Mapping comprises 760 pages for beginners and "power users" alike, packed with guidance and instructions for the map-making process.

Complete Collection

Starting at thirty dollars, the 39-item bundle contains these components:

  • Advanced Terrain Generator
  • Dungeon Creation Tool
  • City Designer 3
  • Cosmographer 3
  • Viewpoint Enhancement
  • Dioramas 3
  • Character Artist 3

  • Fantasy Landscape Symbols
  • Monster Token Set 1
  • Fortress Source Maps
  • Metropolitan Source Maps

All 17 volumes from the Annual series are included here, plus numerous other resource and asset packs enabling creators to design entire planets or galaxies, or just go all-in on classic fantasy realm creation: battle maps, underground complexes, cities, and land masses from almost any perspective. You can even design character illustrations. At thirty versus fifteen dollars, the full bundle offers tremendous value, especially for cartographers who have only the annual CC3+ license seeking permanent licensing. However, it's clearly an even better deal for map-making newbies since it includes the beginners' tutorials to facilitate learning. The sole limitation though the purchase is available on any platform, the software is only usable with Windows systems.

Philanthropic Aspect

As with other Humble Bundles, part of every purchase supports charitable organizations. In this instance, that's Save the Children, established in 1919 by Eglantyne Jebb focused on improving the lives of children worldwide through education, health care, and emergency relief. Package customization options appear near the page top, but you can also select their donation amount in the right-hand section. There's also an donation allocation menu just below that, allowing you to adjust the distribution percentage goes to Humble, Profantasy, and Save the Children.
